With it's newly refurbished central area, and 4  new tree houses, Miombo has put itself back on the map as one of the more family-friendly and affordable accommodation options in Hwange National Park.  The lodge is set beneath a canopy of magnificent Mukwa and Msasatrees on the edge of the Park, where you can look forward to the regular nocturnal wildlife visits. Miombo is a quirky and intimate place which remains a popular destination for those travellers wishing to combine a safari in Hwange with a visit to the mighty Victoria Falls or Mosi-oa-Tunya (the smoke that thunders).

Accommodation:

There are three different types of accommodation on offer. Firstly four new large luxury tents set on raised platforms, made from sustainably produced timber (1 honeymoon king, 1 standard king & 2 twins) . They all overlook a central waterhole, each having an outside deck to view from. Each tent has and en suite shower and toilet. The honeymoon suite has an additional bath overlooking the view and an outside 'star gazer' shower. Fans and tea/coffee making facilities are on offer in each  tent.  Secondly 2 thatched wooden tree houses (1 double and 1 twin), each with ensuite shower and toilet. Both overlooking the waterhole. Thirdly, four standard thatched chalets (3 twin and 1 double) are situated in Miombo woodland and all have en suite toilet and “star-gazer” showers.
