Periwinkle Guest Lodge is a 4 Star Luxury Lodge situated on Beachy Head Drive, Plettenberg Bay, directly across the road from the Robberg blue Flag Beach, a safe swimming beach. The Lodge is on 3 levels and has breathtaking views of the famous Robberg Peninsula, Tsitsikamma Mountains and the sea.

All the rooms are very stylishly decorated and reflect the surrounding sea and mountains. Six of the seven rooms have balconies where guests can enjoy the panoramic view from the Robberg Peninsula to the right and the Tsitskamma Mountains to the left. The lodge can accommodate children, if the suitable rooms are available.

The rooms are twin bedded except Room 1 which is a Queen, however, all the beds can be converted into Kings. All rooms are en suite and have TV's direct dial telephones, personalized linen, heated towel rails, tea/coffee facilities and Bar fridges. The rooms also have hairdryers, overhead fans and under floor heating in the bathrooms.

Rooms 4 and 5 have under floor heating in both bathroom and bedrooms and all the other rooms have wall heating units. Digital safes are in all the rooms for the safe keeping of valuables. All rooms have a walk in shower and bath except for Room 3, which only has a shower. Rooms 2, 4 and 5 have Jet Master fireplaces.

Whale & Dolphin Discovery Cruises are a highlight or you can watch from your balcony or over breakfast.

Go for a 2 or 4 hour walk on the Robberg Peninsula for an unforgettable experience. Kranshoek, Natures Valley & Tsitsikamma National Park are all in close proximity for keen hikers. Oyster tasting, elephant viewing, cruises to the Heads & Featherbed Nature Reserve as well as a journey on the Steam Train all make for interesting day trips.

The unique and most exciting feature of this area is the abundance in marine mammals in the bay which is flanked by two marine nature reserves and therefore rich in food for the resident whales and dolphins.

During July to September every year, Southern Right Whales migrate to this part of the Indian Ocean to calve. There are organised boat trips all year round to see Brydes whales and dolphins. Huge schools of dolphin surfing the breakers or leaping clear of the blue sea, are a regular sight throughout the year.
