Kakuli Bush Camp
The bar and dining chitenge is constructed of reed and thatch forming the centre point of camp. This building along with each of the tents is on an elevated stretch of riverbank overlooking a wide grazing lawn that reaches along the Luangwa river and forms the confluence of the Luwi and Luangwa rivers.
Kakuli is one of three bushcamps that you can include on a walking safari circuit that starts from Kapani Safari Lodge. Kakuli is located on the eastern boundary of the South Luangwa National Park, renown for its unspoilt beauty and varied habitats. It supports one of Africa's richest concentrations of game and bird life – some 40 species of mammal including four of the Big Five; lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo, as well as some 400 species of bird.
Three traditional walk-in safari tents with en-suite openair bathrooms made from natural materials. Each of the tents as with the main building is on an elevated stretch of riverbank over looking a wide grazing lawn that reaches along the Luangwa River.
