Stellenbosch is situated in the Cape Winelands region of the Western CapeSouth Africa.  The second oldest town in South Africa, founded by Simon van der Stel in 1679 and renowned for its Cape Dutch buildings, university, rugby and wines.  Stellenbosch lies in a fertile valley surrounded by vineyards, orchards and mountains.  It is an academic and farming community and is one of the best preserved towns in South Africa.

Stellenbosch has a small-town aura with a leisurely lifestyle in an atmosphere where art, music and theatre takes first place. Only half-an-hour's drive from Cape Town and the many attractions, visitors have the best of both worlds.

How to get there

By air
Accessing this beautiful town is very easy as there are multiple flights to Cape Town from around the world. 

By road
Stellenbosch is a short drive from Cape Town, approximately 30mins along the N2 and then onto the Stellenbosch access road.
