These homely cottages are a birdwatcher’s paradise which offer a glimpse of the rarer and more secretive of the forest birds. The name Seldomseen is a pun as you seldom see the birds but you often hear them! 

 

There are three cottages and a lodge. The venue gives people an amazing calm atmosphere to relax and unwind with the family and friends. There are a number of footpaths in the forest, including the area near Witchwood Nursery, where you can purchase a variety of plants.

• Bunga Forest Botanical Reserve - full of orchids and ferns

• Bvumba Botanical Gardens - just remember that there is an entrance charge.

• Leopard Rock Hotel - a stunning golf course and excellent cuisine

• Tony's Tea Shop - for some incredible cakes - just be aware of the price tag

• Nyamheni (also known as Castle Beacon) - This is the highest point in Vumba

• Genainas, White Horse Inn and Inn on the Vumba - all good spots for a bite to eat!
